Garry O’Neil has been working on putting together a book of photography featuring Dublins youth cultures for the last few years. I’d heard rumours of his search for images of Teddy Boys, punks, mods, rockers, ravers and skaters and now it looks like it’s all about to happen. Alongside the publication Still films are also trying to produce a feature length documentary charting Dublin street style since the 1950s, taking in a scenic route of skinny jeans, winklepickers, flares, platforms and polonecks. The joint project is up at on fundit.ie and with just 6 days left to reach the target, get busy this morning contributing towards a piece of fashion history.
