Poinsettia

I took this picture in a church in Sicily at Christmas, decided I liked the plants a lot and that I’d find out what they are about. It’s all there on Wiki, but the big revelation was that they are Mexican in origin. I’m in the middle of reading a Frida Kahlo biography and becoming obsessed with all things Mexican, so I decided to share.

My picture is pretty crap though so here is one of a pretty Mexican dress.
