Increasingly designers are turning to film as a means of presenting a collection. Stepping back from catwalk chaos, it’s a way to convey the mood, inspiration and attitude sewn into their designs. Poltock & Walsh rock and this message is applied with a branding iron in their new film by fashion photographer Paola Kudacki.

Mono.kultur is my favourite publication these days. A simply and beautifully produced magazine, which features the work of a diverse creative person each issue. The design reflects the subject and the fluidity of the publication. Issue *21 engages with Tilda Swinton. A woman who literally embodies contemporary fashion and has in this interview blown away some cobwebs on cinema as a social practice. I wish I was 8 1/2 again.

This movie is gangster. No vaseline required to romanticise Johnny Dillinger and his gal Billies (Marion Cotillard) outlaw story. They have love, public celebrity and amazing costume. The beautiful Billie, also the new face of Lady Dior, is a dimestore diamond in her $3 scarlet silk dress (want by the way).
